TORONTO - A Toronto man is accused of impersonating a police officer to solicit sexual favours from a prostitute.
Police say a female sex trade worker was picked up by a man in a black car on Jan. 27.
They allege the man told her he was a police officer and threatened to arrest her if she didn't perform a sexual act.
The woman managed to leave the car and called police.
Forty-four-year-old Carlos Raffo was arrested Friday and charged with impersonating a police officer and extortion.
Police say they believe there may be more victims.
