Mayor Rob Ford's office was cleared Thursday afternoon after staff found a suspicious envelope containing a sand-like substance.
Emergency responders were called to the office shortly after 5 p.m. to remove the package.
There is no confirmation at this time about what was inside the package, or on how it got there.
